RollerBones Turbo Wheels

I've been skating the Turbo 92s for about three months now. Sure, they look cool, but there's more to them than just looks. The hubs are rock solid, and haven't developed any squeaking despite being used hard a lot. The 'semi-slim' design seems to be the perfect blend of good contact with the floor and agility. A word of caution, the limited amount of urethane does cause these wheels to 'feel' harder than they might be in a more conventional hub design. This isn't a problem, just something to be aware of. I skate on semi-clean wood and sport court most of the time and the 92s did well. But, I wanted to try something with a little more 'stick' so I opted for the 85s. (Initially I was thinking about just going to the 88s, but thanks to the ladies at Sin City Skates, I went with the 85s instead). WOW what a difference! This took a wheel I loved and made it a wheel I won't skate without. Absolutely perfect for me; and I can use all the help I can get ;-) In the end, these wheels might be a bit pricy for some people's taste. However, if you can stomach the price, I think you will find it a VERY good investment. Made my recent trip to San Diego all that much better. Not only did I get a chance to meet the awesome crew of Sin City Skates, but I flew back to Denver with what I consider to be the perfect derby wheel.
