Hybrid Wheels

Hybrid is a term we coined to describe wheels made with outdoor urethane formulas, which are very soft, high-rebound and often clear - poured in a traditionally indoor wheel shape, which is more squared-off, wider and with a smaller bevel than standard outdoor wheels, which are usually very slim, rounded and often tall.

Hybrid wheels are the best of both worlds for skaters that like grippy wheels.  The shape and urethane offer extra traction, especially on the turns, while the high-rebound gives lift and bounce that makes a powerful stride even more powerful and quick. There are a lot of hybrid wheels now, but Sin City is very proud that we fought to develop the first hybrid, the Sure Grip Sugar wheels. Sugars caught on so fast that every manufacturer quickly followed suit and developed their own hybrids shortly after.
