Closeouts n Blems
CLOSEOUTS
Closeouts are usually discontinued wheels or things that have been on our shelves just way too long. They are "firsts" and other than possibly being around awhile, should perform just as well as when they were new. Urethane does deteriorate over time, so they could be slightly more brittle or harder; but generally speaking that usually only happens to urethane exposed to extreme weather conditions. We don't really have extreme weather conditions in SD, so you can count on these having been stored at about 75 degrees since we've had them.
WHAT IS A BLEM WHEEL?
Blems are wheels that are too ugly to sell as firsts. Most of the blems we get are ugly because the dye got messed up at the factory and the urethane color was not consistent with the rest of that model. Some are trimmed badly. Others have cosmetic bubbles that occurred when the urethane dried. Occasionally we get some with ugly hubs that have been tarnished or stained. What made them ugly can be a million things, but what they all have in common is that the problem is in how the wheel LOOKS - not in how they perform. All cosmetic blems perform exactly as good as firsts. None of them are defective in any way that will change the roll or grip or anything about the performance of the wheels. So if you don't mind ugly, these are great deals!
