Standard shipping
for all in-stock items (most skates and stuff) is either UPS ground
(which is typically between 2-4 working days) or USPS Priority
Mail (which generally takes 2-3 mail days, which includes Saturdays). We can
send it so that you have to sign for it, but if you don't ask us to, USPS will drop it off
whether you're home or not. UPS will make you sign most of the time. We charge you
for shipping AND handling because we pay Alma to pack up your stuff.
We usually get stuff out the next workday
after you order it, but we travel a lot for games, so keep an eye on our front page to see which days
your shipping might be delayed cause of our bout schedule.
Overnight shipping doesn't always mean you will get your skates the day after you order them,
unless you order in stock items between 10am and noon our time, and you call it in to us so we
know you're in a big hurry. If we drop ship your stuff from the factory, even with expedited shipping, it can still take them
a couple days to put your skates together, so they usually still get on the truck 2 days after you order. If you're interested in overnight or expedited shipping,
give us a call at 520-884-4362 to get an idea of how much it will cost and exactly when you can expect your stuff.
We are happy to ship internationally - to anywhere. If you live somewhere super far
where shipping is
expensive, email us and we can talk about options for saving money.
We ship regularly to Germany, UK (including Scotland & Ireland),
China, Australia, New Zealand, Spain and - of course - Canada, which is about 30% of our orders. International orders
default to a $50 charge in paypal - but if actually costs us less, we refund the difference. If its more, we'll invoice
you. But don't be alarmed; $50 was the best number we could think of that would cover most orders.
We drop ship what we don't have in stock. The factories and distributors usually ship Fed Ex or UPS Ground,
which is 4-5 days across country (less if you're close to them), and they usually turn
our orders around in 2 days.
We work crazy hours, but our distributors
and the gear manufacturers don't, so please assume that your order will be processed
during business hours on business days. That means if you order skates on Saturday night with overnight delivery,
they will usually ship on Monday or Tuesday (depending on what you order) and
you will get them the day after that. You can try giving us a call anytime, but the best time to call us is
between 10am and 6pm Pacific time. We work after practice a lot, too, to keep up on orders, so we do sleep in sometimes - but not past
10am (least not usually). But you can't hear us cussing when you call super early, so go ahead and try!
Custom orders sometimes take longer. You know this! So please don't be annoyed if you
order something special and it takes a few days before it ships.
Turnaround times:
- Wide width *stretching* upgrades usually add an extra day to your order and they all drop-ship via
UPS Ground (not 3-day!). So they take a little over a week in business days to get to you..
- Custom-built wide skates usually take 4 weeks to build and ship UPS Ground, and can be made in E or EE widths.
- Custom leather colors or special boots / sizing can take weeks,
if its specially made to your specs. Please ask for an estimate
when you order.
- Custom helmet panties usually take a week to sew.
- Upgraded skates (different wheels, upgraded bearings, etc) generally add a day to
get them made especially to your requests.
We will notify you when you order if we anticipate any other delays.
